Hello, Hola, Olá, Salut,

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for International Relations/Peace and Conflict Research (CIRP) at the University of Tübingen. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hamburg. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and the University of Bergen. During my PhD, I was a member of the Doctoral Programme at the GIGA and a visiting researcher at Columbia University. I hold a M.A. in Latin American Politics from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in International Relations and Romance Studies from the University of Erfurt.
My academic interests are within the realm of peace and conflict studies. More specifically, I focus on individuals governing and living in violent settings. From rebel and state leaders to women in communities, I am interested in how individuals make choices, how they protect themselves, and how their experiences and gender shape their political preferences, including preferences towards peace. I have been exploring these issues in different countries affected by conflict including Colombia, El Salvador, Niger, and Timor-Leste.
Methodologically, most part of my work involves a mixed-methods approach. I have extensive practice in conducting fieldwork, including interviews, archival research, and survey experiments. I have a keen interest in applying innovative methods from political psychology to answer questions in the field of peace and conflict studies.
